I´m David José, plastic artist. I work with hand painting.
Rationality. Rationality moves me, pushes me to develop my art.
I like rational works that offer the viewer more than one look, that allow people to find more than one conclusion.
For example, my gradient canvas can darken or lighten, depending on who is looking at it.
In sculptures that change color, the final color will also depend on the focus, on the gaze of the
viewer. In works with waves, the same thing happens – are they more vibrant or dull? Do they go up or down?
In my art, I offer two different options to those who see them, because that is life – nothing is very concrete, definitive,
we always have an alternative, a breath of fresh air. If we decide to look
different, change the focus, we have that option – you just need to want it.
As soon as my spectators are inspired and believe that they can see everything, I try to make them understand the
other side. It is possible to have a different, improved view, a change, nothing is the end.
This is my DNA, a rational work with the desire to open our eyes and deliver several possibilities.
